Rick Huber (owner) and employees, Nate Huber, A. Ray Yoder, and Ben Pestow are all certified as National Recognized Segmental Retaining Wall Installers by the National Concrete Masonry Association. With Rick's Landscaping you are assured of quality installation.
Segmental retaining walls consist of concrete masonry units (e.g. blocks) provide superior engineering over many other methods. They interlock mechanically and rely on their own mass to prevent overturning and sliding as they retain gravity.
Therefore, they provide a structurally sound alternative to retaining walls built from timbers, railroad ties, poured concrete, or other types of wall materials that eventually deteriorate due to the effects of gravity.
However, proper site preparation and installation of the masonry units are essential in order for these segmental retaining walls to function properly not only against gravity, but also against the heaving associated with thawing and freezing in this area.
Owner Rick Huber says, “Without proper site preparation and installation, walls may give way under the pressure of gravity, or may become un-level from harsh winter conditions. It won't take long to see the results of an improper installation.”
Be sure to choose professional installation for your project!
